PAIA Manual
Manual prepared in terms of section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”), read with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).
1. Introduction
Capital Flow For Good (Pty) Ltd (“me-you-us”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a private company (Pty Ltd) incorporated in the Republic of South Africa, registration number 2026/347064/07. This manual explains how to request access to records that we hold, and describes the records we keep and the personal information we process. It is published in accordance with PAIA and is available free of charge on this website.

3. The Information Regulator’s Guide on PAIA
The Information Regulator has published a Guide, in terms of section 10 of PAIA, on how to use the Act. The Guide is available from the Information Regulator:

4. Records available in terms of other legislation
Certain records are kept and may be accessed in terms of other laws, including (as applicable) the Companies Act 71 of 2008, the Tax Administration Act 28 of 2011, and POPIA. Access under those laws is not superseded by this manual.
5. Categories of records we hold
The following categories of records may be held. Not all records are automatically available; access is subject to the request procedure and the grounds for refusal set out in PAIA.
Records about users and donors
- Account records (name, email, country, preferences).
- Donation and sponsorship records, including amounts, currencies and payment references.
- Correspondence and support requests.
Records about conservation projects and partners
- Project information, boundaries, imagery and updates.
- Partner-organisation details and agreements.
Corporate and statutory records
- Incorporation and CIPC records, and the Memorandum of Incorporation.
- Financial and accounting records, and tax records.
- Records of directors and governance.
6. How to request access to a record
To request access to a record, please:
- Complete the prescribed request form (Form 2 of the PAIA Regulations) and send it to our Information Officer at info@meyouus.org.
- Provide enough detail to identify the record and the right you are seeking to exercise.
- Identify the form of access you prefer (for example, a copy by email).
- Provide contact details at which we can reach you.
- Where you request records on behalf of another person, provide proof of your authority.
We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request, subject to any extension permitted by PAIA. Prescribed request and access fees may apply, and we will let you know of any fee before processing the request.
7. Grounds for refusing access
We may refuse a request on any ground permitted by PAIA, including the mandatory protection of the privacy of a third party, the protection of commercial information of a third party, the protection of confidential information, and where disclosure would be unlawful. Where we refuse a request, we will give reasons.
8. Remedies
If your request is refused, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator or apply to a court, as provided for in PAIA.
9. Processing of personal information (POPIA)
We process personal information as a Responsible Party under POPIA. The purposes for which we process it, the categories of data subjects and information, the recipients (including our service providers), and the fact that information is processed and hosted within the European Union, are described in our Privacy Policy. Data subjects may exercise their rights of access, correction and deletion as described there.
